Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is searching for a qualified student to serve as a CAD Designer Apprentice for a company in Erie County.
Our client is seeking an apprentice to create CAD drawings that will be applied toward CNC design/manufacturing, wire harness design/manufacturing, and the CAD assembly of products for representation and demonstration (animated GIFs) as technical resources. The qualified candidate will be responsible for digital design work to create a library of standard components, and engineering drawings for the product design and development. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design fixtures for manufacture components
- Apply engineering drawings to new digital designs
Candidates are required to be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, and shall be pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; and ability to work at Erie County facility. Interest in the Automotive industry preferred. Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD; knowledge of Geomagic preferred. Must possess strong computer skills.
Compensation will be a minimum $12.00 per hour depending upon experience, knowledge, and skills.
