Laboratory Formulator Apprentice Position-7.7.2016Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is searching for a qualified student to serve as an Assistant Laboratory Formulator Apprentice for a company in Mercer County.

Our client is seeking a qualified apprentice to assist formulators with projects by learning how to make various coatings, run appropriate quality control tests, and other tests according to customer specifications. Coatings being developed are for end use items such as packaging, fabricated metal parts, and heavy equipment.

Candidates are required to be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, and shall be pursuing a four-year degree in Chemistry or related discipline and ability to work at a Mercer County facility. Must be organized and detail oriented. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. A pre-employment drug screen may be required.

The position is available for the time period beginning soon through May 2016 for a minimum of 8 hours per week. A minimum $10.00 per hour depending upon experience, knowledge, and skills.
