Emporium Machining Technologies

ISO Compliance Support

Emporium Machining Technologies (EMT), located in Emporium, Pennsylvania, is a family- and veteran-owned business founded in 2019. With over 28 years of experience in machining and programming, EMT specializes in CNC machining, industrial 3D printing, and reverse engineering services. The company provides 3D scanning and rapid prototyping for a range of industries, helping customers recreate parts with original or outdated prints, molds, or dies—delivering precision and value at competitive prices.

  • The Challenge

    As EMT looked to expand its market share and diversify into new sectors—particularly Department of Defense and government contracts—it became clear that ISO 9001 certification was essential. While the company had made strides toward certification, maintaining compliance and upgrading its quality management system required ongoing support. Without a structured platform for internal audits, document control, and employee training, EMT risked falling short of certification standards and missing out on key growth opportunities.

  • The Solution

    To support EMT’s certification and long-term compliance goals, NWIRC recommended a partnership with Core Business Solutions to implement a remote ISO Compliance Support Platform. Our Senior Strategic Business Advisor worked closely with EMT leadership to tailor a solution that fit their operational needs and growth strategy. The program included:

    1. 12-month subscription to the CORE Compliance Platform;
    2. access to the CORE Learning Center and Resource Library;
    3. virtual support for internal audits and management review;
    4. ongoing phone and email support from ISO consultants; and
    5. training modules for management, internal auditors, and new employees.

    This flexible, web-based platform empowered EMT to maintain its quality management system year-round, with tools for document development, revision control, and audit readiness.

Client Success

EMT successfully achieved ISO 9100 certification, implemented a streamlined ISO quality management system, and reached CMMC Level 1 compliance. These accomplishments strengthen the company’s position in aerospace and defense markets, improve operational efficiency, and enhance cybersecurity—demonstrating Emporium’s commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term growth. With their $5,000 investment, EMT expects to see impacts such as 3 new jobs created and 2 jobs retained and $7,700 in capital equipment investment.

“By investing in a scalable compliance platform and expert support, we took a strategic step toward growth, diversification, and long-term operational excellence. It strengthened our audit readiness and ISO 9001 compliance and enhanced EMT’s reputation and competitive positioning for DOD and government contracts,” said EMT Owner, Mike Dixon.
