MFD_Logo_nodate_2015_R_ColorOne of the goals of national Manufacturing Day on October 7th is to address common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show students what manufacturing is all about. Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is offering a minigrant to technical/vocational schools in 13 Northwest PA counties to offset expenses for taking students on their visits that day.

If you’re a manufacturer planning a tour or special event, whether public or invitation only, don’t forget to register your event at www.mfgday.com. There are also numerous resources there to help with planning.
