Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is searching for a qualified student to serve as an Electrical Engineer Apprentice for a company in Crawford County.
Our client is seeking a qualified apprentice to cover all aspects of electrical design for industrial vacuum heat processing equipment. Responsibilities will include review of project electrical specifications, specifying and sourcing purchased electrical components, developing electrical drawings on CAD system, programming of PLC’s and Operator Interface panels, providing guidance to shop personnel during installation of electrical components and interconnect wiring, and participation in equipment testing.
Candidates are required to have recently received a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree; and ability to work at a Crawford County facility. Position requires strong interpersonal skills in working with customers, vendors and other team members. Intuitive problem solving skills are a must for use in electrical design and in troubleshooting equipment problems. Experience with AutoCad or similar drafting software preferred. Occasional overnight travel (several times per year) to customer’s facility to support installation is required.
