Exam fees are $165 for APICS members, $250 for non-members, and are administered by APICS International.
Candidates taking Execution and Control of Operations (ECO) focus on the areas of prioritizing and sequencing work, executing work plans and implementing controls, reporting activity results, and providing evaluating feedback on performance. The course explains techniques for scheduling and controlling production processes, the execution of quality initiatives, continuous improvement plans, and the control and handling of inventories.
Jack Martis is an accomplished instructor/consultant in operations and supply chain management. Jack is an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business, as well as an APICS certified Master Instructor in the CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) programs. In addition to his BA and MBA degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, Jack attained his CPIM certification in 1997 and CSCP certification in 2006. Recently, he earned the APICS Risk Management Certificate. Jack has completed a number of operations management consulting projects in financial services, steelmaking and consumer goods manufacturing. He has designed customized supply chain training programs for various companies. In addition to his operations credentials, Jack is an experienced IT project manager who has led a number of major enterprise level software implementations during his 30 year career. He currently serves as the Chapter Vice President and Vice President of Education for the APICS Pittsburgh Chapter.
