Program Overview

NWIRC’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a hands-on, project-driven certification designed for today’s manufacturing environment. Participants apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to a real improvement project within their organization, integrating AI and practical digital tools throughout the DMAIC framework. Certification is tied directly to measurable business results—not classroom attendance.

Why This Program Is Different

  • Certification tied to measurable results — participants must complete a real improvement project within six months.
  • AI and digital tools embedded throughout DMAIC — modern technologies are applied as part of structured problem-solving.
  • Coached, accountable execution model — structured coaching and peer checkpoints ensure momentum and quality outcomes.
  • Built for application, not theory — emphasis on project leadership, stakeholder alignment, and sustained adoption.

Program Structure

  • 4 full-day, in-person training sessions
  • 1 additional half-day session (exam and focused project planning)
  • Six 45-minute virtual coaching sessions over a six-month project period
  • Mid-project peer sharing session
  • Final onsite company presentation including the participant’s manager, NWIRC coach, and company-selected stakeholders
  • Certification awarded upon successful project completion

Value to the Employer

  • A completed improvement project delivering measurable business impact
  • An employee capable of leading structured, data-driven problem-solving efforts
  • Practical exposure to AI and digital tools aligned with modern manufacturing
  • Strengthened internal continuous improvement capability
  • Reinforced executive engagement through structured report-outs
