Today was the kick-off for NWIRC’s Lean Together Advanced. American Turned Products (ATP), one of the participating companies, hosted the other companies for the first session. In addition to seeing 2 second lean progress (the focus of the Lean Together program), the group took their first Gemba Walk and were asked to observe, question, challenge, and offer new perspectives regarding a targeted area. Participants toured an area at ATP in order to look for 8 wastes, as well as the 3 M’s (Muda, Mura, Muri) for improving efficiencies.
