doing-business-with-dla-oct-2016-erieNorthwest Commission Procurement Technical Assistance Center will present a free training seminar entitled “Doing Business with DLA” The session will be held on October 5 from 9:30am to 12noon at the Center for Business Ingenuity in Erie PA.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is the agency of the U.S. Department of Defense that provides the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and other federal agencies with nearly 100 percent of the consumable items needed to operate – from food, fuel and spare parts to uniforms, medical supplies, and construction and barrier equipment.

This session will cover how and what DLA buys and provide attendees with basic knowledge on how to use the agency’s internet bid board system (DIBBS) and technical data forms (c-Folders) to find opportunities and bid on solicitations. It is a good workshop for manufacturers and machine shops to learn about potential areas of opportunity with the DLA.

Co-sponsors with Northwest Commission PTAC for this event include Gannon University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership. For more details and to register, visit:
