2014-APR-Shop Worker with ipadThe Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) will host several OSHA Compliance and Injury Prevention classes in Northwest PA this September. This 1-day session will help prepare organizations for regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and business liability. The program will outline the new OSHA regulations covering injury reporting that goes into effect January 1, 2017. Other topics include:

  • What to do when an OSHA officer shows up at your business
  • A review of the latest and most frequently cited standards
  • Developing the necessary written safety programs
  • Implementing the key components of a risk management plan
  • Employee training requirements
  • How to effectively train employees with minimum operation down time
  • How preparing for OSHA compliance can help prevent injuries, and reduce liability
  • Managing regulatory liability with on-site contractor

Todd has experience controlling injuries and expenses for organizations such as Chamberlain Manufacturing and Anchor Hocking Glass, and later transitioned to the insurance industry. He has a Bachelors Degree in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of PA.
