Tom Weible, Strategic Business Advisor at Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) was recently certified by TWI Institute as a Toyota Kata (Improvement and Coaching) trainer, facilitator, and coach.

According to the Author of Toyota Kata, Mike Rother, practicing the routines of Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata helps companies and teams improve, adapt, innovate and achieve challenging goals. With his additional training, Weible is now certified to teach a 10-hour course, as well as offer manufacturing companies onsite implementation and coaching support so company employees can develop the routine of practicing Kata.

Weible has been a Strategic Business Advisor with NWIRC for 4 years, working with manufacturing clients in 6 counties in the North Central PA region. He assists manufacturers in Jefferson, Elk, Clearfield, Cameron, McKean, and Potter Counties to grow and become more competitive. He came to NWIRC with 22 years of customer service and operations management experience, including inventory management, sales and margin improvement, and employee development and training.

Weible earned his BS in Business Administration from Clarion University before serving with the US Navy in the Submarine Force. In 2006, he earned his Master’s in Business and Workforce Development from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
