Manufacturers and representatives from all of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Centers in the nation are in Washington D.C. today meeting with their elected Senators and Congressmen. PA Congressman Glenn Thompson has organized a special meeting for today at 4pm for the PA Delegation to learn about the opportunities facing Pennsylvania’s manufacturing economy and what is needed to accelerate manufacturing growth. The focus will include discussion about the importance of manufacturing and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program. Ashleigh Walters, President of Onex, Inc., will speak about how MEP (specifically, Northwest Industrial Resource Center, the MEP for northwestern PA) has helped Onex grow and strengthen their competitive position.
