Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is searching for qualified student intern(s) for product design and engineering at a Warren County, PA facility.
The qualified student(s) will help improve the quality and efficiency of the product design process for the manufacturer. The goal of the project will be to work with mentors and other Teammates to improve the fit, function, performance and appearance of current product designs. Specifically, the qualified candidate(s) will:
- Identify best practices, equipment, and available technologies in product design that will lead to increased productivity and innovative product designs.
- Participate in department meetings and/or take on active projects within various departments including Art & Marketing, New Product Development and production.
Candidates are required to be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with an expected graduation no later than May 2018, shall be pursuing a four-year degree in Product Design, Industrial & Design Engineering, or related technical field; and have the ability to work at a Warren County facility at least thirty (30) hours per week while concurrently maintaining half-time or less student status. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
Additionally, the ideal candidate shall have experience in art or design and be a responsible, team-oriented individual with great attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
This internship is available from May 2017 through approximately August 2017. The internship pay rate is at a minimum of $12 per hour and is based on experience, knowledge and skills. Successful interns have the potential for full-time employment opportunities with this global manufacturer.
