Apprentice Position Logo- square-01Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is searching for a qualified student to serve as a Project Engineer Apprentice for a company in Crawford County.

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer Apprentice for the design, assembly, installation and testing of industrial vacuum heat processing equipment. Responsibilities will include review of project specifications, guiding industrial equipment design and drawing development, specifying and sourcing purchased components and materials, guiding designers in developing CAD drawings, providing guidance to shop personnel during equipment fabrication and assembly, testing equipment prior to shipment, overseeing equipment installation and commissioning and providing customer training.

Candidates are required to have recently received a BS Degree in Engineering; and ability to work at the Crawford County facility. Position requires strong interpersonal skills in working with customers, vendors and other team members. Intuitive problem solving skills are a must for use in electrical design and in troubleshooting equipment problems. Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software preferred. Occasional overnight travel is required (several times per year) to customer’s facility to support installation.
