Northwest Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC) is searching for a qualified student to serve as a Quality Engineer Apprentice for a company in Erie County.
Our client is in need of an apprentice to begin the process of incorporating the new ISO 9001 -2015 standards. The qualified apprentice will work with all departments within the foundry to establish new and updated policies and procedures to meet the new standards. The position involves following the manufacturing process from melt, molding, core making, cleaning and finishing.
Candidates are required to be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, and shall be pursuing a four-year degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; and ability to work at the Erie County facility. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. An industrial background preferred, but not required. The timeframe for the position is May 2016-August 2016.
