Amidst the end of the snow storm, there is still a great training going on today in Meadville. Students of the Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) class are from C&J Industries and Miller Welding.

The course is teaching how to uncover potential failures before they occur, while investigating
at-risk processes, components, or whole products. Identifying and managing risk is a critical aspect of the new ISO 9001:2015 standard. The instructor for the course is Megan Burns, a Six Sigma Master Black Belt who has more than 15 years of industrial engineering experience in a variety of operational environments. In addition to leading her own projects, she has trained and mentored hundreds of others from companies such as GE, American Eagle Outfitters, Bombardier, Foamex International. Liberty Electronics, Michael Baker Corp., Schneider Downs & Co. and the University of Pittsburgh.

Congratulations to the participants who will soon have these skills to add to their quality management toolbox.
