Lean Basic Training

This one-day class combines lecture and simulation to provide a foundation of lean manufacturing. Learn about standardized work, workplace organization, visual and plant layout, one-piece flow, TPM, cellular
production, TAKT time, kanbans, quick changeover, and more. All to improve your ability to identify and eliminate waste.

Lean for the Office

Lean principles focus on reductions in waste due to overproduction and waiting. You don’t need to be on the shop floor to benefit from improving productivity in whatever your role. This training will help participants
understand how to apply lean principles and tools to office and administrative processes.

Intro to Lean Accounting

Lean accounting is the application of lean thinking to all accounting systems and processes, both financial accounting and management accounting. This virtual 2-part series explains the four foundational practices of
lean accounting: understanding value, identifying waste, lean measurement, and PDCA.

Root Cause Analysis

This training program reviews the process of root cause analysis, a disciplined approach to problem solving. The program is ideal for quality and process engineers, technicians, supervisors, team leaders, and process operators, or others who seek to improve their ability to solve recurring problems.

Advanced OSHA Compliance

Become educated on how to prepare your facility to successfully complete a regulatory inspection.  Employers incur millions of dollars in losses each year from employee injuries.  Learn how to tabulate injury impact to the bottom line, and establish an effective risk management program.

ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor

During this 3-day training, participants learn how to conduct an internal audit, write the audit report, and take corrective action. Participants also learn foundational ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements, the auditing process, audit instruments and the documentation process.

IATF 16949:2016 Internal Auditor

By using a combination of lecture, discussion and auditing case studies, participants will develop skills for identifying non-conformance and promoting continuous improvement within their service or manufacturing organizations. Upon completion of this course, participants will have the ability to more effectively:

  • Utilize a working knowledge of the IATF 6949 Quality Management System in performing internal audits
  • Understand the registration process
  • Interpret the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • Discuss the basic principles of quality management

AS 9100 Internal Auditor

The focus of this course is to give participants the competency to perform audits in accordance to the requirements of the AS9100 (Rev D) standard requirements. For manufacturers within the aerospace industry, your internal auditors will gain the understanding of the AS9100 requirements; and how to prepare, conduct, report, and close-out an audit.

Operational Excellence Workshop

A highly interactive workshop to learn conditions to create a high-performing organization, including roles of leadership and customer focus, establishing and measuring performance metrics, creating a stable
and capable delivery system, and converting improved operational performance into growing sales.

NWIRC’s Manufacturing Career Readiness Training serves as an extension of your company’s onboarding process – by providing employees basic career readiness, communication, problem-solving skills, and motivation. The program is career-focused versus job-focused – with the ultimate goal of helping individuals successfully integrate into your company’s culture and become long-term, loyal employees.
