There are owners on the shop floor running machines, presidents working third shift, and office staff in shipping/receiving. NWIRC is hosting the ‘Turn Off the Labor Shortage Alarm’ Tour to help manufacturers stop fighting fires and focus on strategy with their current team.

The program will feature keynote speaker, Chip Madera, a Motivation and Performance Strategist with over 25 years experience helping leaders and teams from every type of industry. His presentation, ‘Long-Term and Short-Term Solutions to the Workforce Crisis’, will explore the critical beliefs, behaviors, and actions that foster a positive work culture. Madera will discuss the organizational framework that inspires and engages a manufacturing team to embrace the mission, vision, and values of the organization- and share success stories of companies that built leadership infrastructures to produce sustainable performance. “Never before has the role of leadership been more critical to creating excellent outcomes and driving results,” Madera said. “Yet, labor shortages, increased employee expectations, and economic pressures have forced leaders into crisis management. Putting out fires and trying to find and keep talent have become overwhelming priorities that leave little time for growing talent, future expansion, and forward thinking and planning.”

A special feature of this morning program includes exhibits with regional workforce development partners all in one place. Organizations will display information and be available to discuss resources you may need now, or down the road.

The ‘Tour’ will make stops in Sharon (June 14), DuBois (June 16), and Titusville (May 21). The 3-hour program (9:00am-12noon) is free to attend and only for manufacturing companies. Seating is limited, so registration is required. Find more details and register for the session of your choice at: www.nwirc.org/alarm.
