Are you thinking about taking your business global? If you are a manufacturer in Northwest PA, you can learn the basics of exporting and what it means to sell internationally at an upcoming program offered by the Clarion Small Business Development Center, in conjunction with Northwest Commission and North Central. The program will be held on August 25, 2016 from 8:30am-12noon at the Clarion University SBDC Barnes Center, 330 North Point Drive, Suite 100 Clarion PA.
Topics of the program will include:
- Determining if your company is ready to export
- Overview of why your company should export
- Identifying good markets
- Finding and screening buyers/partners
- Placing everything in motion: staffing, paperwork, shipping, pricing, etc.
- Resources for exporting
Featured speakers for the session are Brad Moore, District Director, US Representative Mike Kelly; Miranda Mease, Business Consultant, Clarion University SBDC; Steven Murray, Senior International Trade Specialist, US Commercial Service; Christine Perneski, Export Marketing Director, North Central Commission; and Dorte Heffernan, International Trade Manager, Northwest Commission.
