A new study, Women in Manufacturing: Stepping up to make an impact that matters, was just released by Deloitte, The Manufacturing Institute, and APICS. The study confirms that increasing the number of women in manufacturing can have a substantial impact on closing the skills gap. The report includes information on the current state of women in manufacturing; recruiting, retaining, and advancing female talent; and rewards for manufacturers. “Women constitute one of US manufacturing’s largest pools of untapped talent,” as noted in the report.
