The Research and Experimentation Tax Credit (“R&E Credit”) has been around for decades.  In today’s fluctuating business environment, the R&E Credit’s benefits are more important than ever to keep a competitive advantage. The R&E Credit was designed to reward American companies who take risks through creating new products or processes.  While many business sectors take advantage of the credit, it is largely geared towards manufacturers.  Common industries are plastics, tool & die, food & beverage, custom manufacturers, and many more. In addition to the R&E Credit, this session will also provide an update on the current status of the newly implemented Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s research expenditure rules for 2022 and going forward.

Presented by the R&E Tax Team at McGill, Power, Bell & Associates, including:

… Kevin T. Oviatt, CPA, CVA

… Michael S. Neubauer, CPA, CVA, MBA

… Scott A. Herzing, CPA
